A loan of $375 helps to buy more liquor and soft drinks to sell.

Tisiya's story
Tisiya is 54 years old and lives in the town of Njeru in the Mukono region of Uganda. She is married and has 4 children. For the past 1 year, Tisiya has been working hard to manage her bar business, which sells liquor.
To help expand her business, Tisiya has requested a loan of 1300000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more liquor and soft drinks to sell and will help Tisiya to generate greater profits. She will invest more in her business and buy food for her family.
Tisiya hopes that in the future she will be able to build more rentals for business. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program that primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
