A loan of $550 helps to buy more soft drinks like sodas and water to sale.

Rosemary's story
Rosemary is 44 years old and lives in the town of Njeru in the Mukono region of Uganda. She is married and has 5 children with 4 of them currently in school. For the past 8 years, Rosemary has been working hard to manage her beverage business, which sells soft drinks.
To help expand her business, Rosemary has requested a loan of 2,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more soft drinks like sodas and water to sale, and will help Rosemary generate greater profits and her production will increase and attract more revenue. She will manage to provide basic needs for her family like food and clothes for her children.
RoseMary hopes that in the future she will be able to build a house of her own. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program that primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
