Koumare Group's story
This group was set up in 2011. It is made up of 19 members who all live in the same village. There is a strong relationship within the group. Madame Seynabou, who is stood with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 29 years old and is married with 4 sons. Like most of the group's members, she runs a small business. Madame Seynabou has been selling peanuts for several years. She buys her goods in the surrounding villages and her customers are mainly women from her own village. The profits made by her business allow her to take care of her family's needs and to save.
