Yaritza Mabel

Yaritza Mabel, 27, is in a common-law marriage and has a 10 year-old daughter. She and her husband are awaiting the birth of their second child. Her husband works in a shrimp farm. They live with her parents in the canton of Rocafuerte. This is an agricultural place par excellence where the hardworking people work in agriculture and animal husbandry.

Yaritza is a very hardworking woman who, along with her family, is seeking a way to get ahead. Even though agricultural work is very hard, she doesn't give up and continues forward. She works in agriculture, with several hectares of land under cultivation with rice, bananas, and coconuts. Yaritza works with the help of her family, because as she is currently pregnant this makes it harder to keep up with all of the crops. Yaritza cultivates crops in every season of the year, because she has land that is appropriate for this. She also raises broiler hens on her property which she sells for a good income. This helps until she is able to harvest and sell her crops.

Yaritza will use this loan to buy organic fertilizers and insecticides, as well as feed for the chickens.
