A loan of $425 helps to buy more liquor and soft drinks to sell.

Annet Namaganda's story
Annet is 43 years old and lives in the town of Mityana in the Mityana region of Uganda. She is married and has four children. For the past three years, Annet has been working hard to manage her bar business, which sells liquor.
To help expand her business, Annet has requested a loan of 1,500,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more liquor and soft drinks to sell, and will help Annet to generate greater profits, invest more in her business and buy food for her family.
Annet hopes that in the future she will be able to build more rentals for business. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program that primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
