The banc villageois was created in September 2013 and is made up of brave women who are active in trade. They live in the same village and the surrounding area and are in solidarity with each other.
Madame Mariama is a 66-year-old widow and mother of 2 children, all of whom attend school. She sells local cereals. She is the group's representative, on the right of the photo with her hand raised.
With her loan, she will buy 10 bags of millet, 5 bags of corn, 500 kg of peanuts and 100 kg of beans.
With her many years of experience, she has built up a loyal clientele and has good sales techniques.
She strengthens her business and her savings in the village bank with her profit.
