Touba Sine Group's story
This group was created in 2011. The group is made up of 15 women who live in the same village. They all earn money through small scale commerce.
Madame Maguette, standing to the right of the picture with her hand raised, is the group's representative. She is 50 years old. She is married and the mother of three children of which two are girls. She sells peanuts, millet and corn. She buys her stock at the main market and displays her merchandise at her stall which is located on the main road where many people pass by. The profits from her activity reinforce her savings and also help her husband to meet the family's expenses.
