Prossy
A loan of $1,100 helps to purchase more raw food and vegetables for resale.

Prossy's story
Prossy is 40 years old and lives in the town of Kabuusu in the Makidye region of Uganda. She is married and has 6 children with 5 of them currently in school. For the past 6 years, Prossy has been working hard to manage her grocery store, which sells raw food.
To help expand her business, Prossy has requested a loan of 4,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase more raw food and vegetables for resale, and will help Prossy to generate greater profits and manage to buy food for her family.
Prossy hopes that in the future she will be able to expand her business more. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program that primarily serves small group members like her who do not have collateral for commercial loans but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
