Balmes
A loan of $950 helps to purchase a motorcycle that will optimize his transportation for selling his lemon production.

Balmes's story
Balmes is a dedicated farmer from Balboa, Cauca, with 32 years of experience. He owns a one-hectare farm where he has over 400 lemon trees planted in different stages of growth to ensure a productive cycle. Balmes harvests his lemon crop every three weeks, collecting more than 350 baskets of lemons that he then sells in his community and surrounding areas using an old cart, allowing him to maintain a constant distribution.
Balmes lives with his wife and three children in a house built on a small plot located 25 minutes from his land. His family is a fundamental support for him in managing the crops.
A loan of COP 4,023,432 will allow Balmes to purchase a motorcycle that will facilitate his transportation for selling his lemons within his community. The motorcycle in Colombia is a crucial tool for farmers due to its ability to facilitate the transportation of materials and tools, optimizing time and costs.
