Silvia Susana

This is Silvia, an older adult, 54 years of age. She's happy with her life and grateful to Kiva for the help received after years of working hand in hand with the organization.

She has been gradually consolidating her business selling blankets, comforters, and clothing in general, as a street vendor and taking orders. She remembers that she started her business 10 years ago with capital of $50 dollars, and now it is her main source of income; and with it, she supports her children when they need it; they are now independent.

Silvia has modernized her business to be up to date, and she also works from her home, offering her products for sale on the social networks. This has helped her to have greater sales.

She is seeking a new loan with which she will buy sheet sets, comforters, thermal blankets, and items of clothing. With this greater selection of merchandise, she will be able to offer more variety to her customers, hoping for more income to continue saving up to fulfill her dream of owning her own home.
