Benkola Group's story
Mme Mariam, 45, is a strong and good woman in Mali. She is married and a mother of four children, three of whom attend school. Her husband is an agricultural farmer. She is very bravely moving into the sector of general commerce (trading in cereals, peanut butter, etc.). She is the one with her hand placed on one of her items of merchandise in the photo.
Mariam has approached RMCR to help her increase her turnover in order to have a greater income and better respond to her customers' needs. She buys her stocks in the local markets and sells them on in the same markets, and also often in the mining areas. Her monthly profit varies between 85,000-100,000 West African CFA Francs per month.
