Gertrude

Gertrude is aged 58, married and with children. She is a resident of Ntungamo, and deals in coffee and banana farming. She has been in farming for a couple of years and her income has enabled her to supplement on the family's bills. However, she faces the challenge of soil erosion and soil exhaustion leading to low yields. She has requested for funds worth UGX 5,000,000 to buy manure and mulches and hopes her yields will improve both qualitatively and quantitatively.
