A loan of $1,975 helps to raise buffalos as an additional source of revenue.
Văn's story
Ms. Văn, 31 years old, is a married woman with three school-aged children. Her family resides in a rural area of Nong Cong District. Despite their hard work, life remains challenging for them.
Her husband works as a construction laborer, a job with unstable income, while she is employed as a factory worker. Together, they earn around $549 per month, which barely covers their needs. To improve their income, the couple started raising buffalos as an additional source of revenue.
They plan to expand their efforts by purchasing three more buffalos. However, their savings are insufficient for this investment. To make it happen, Văn has applied for a third loan from Thanh Hoa Microfinance Institution (MFI). She plans to raise the buffalos for a year and sell them to traders for a profit, hoping to enhance their financial stability and secure a better future for their family.
