A loan of $1,975 helps to purchase new acacia seedlings for replanting.
Tiến's story
Mrs. Tiến is 59 years old and a married woman whose children are all grown. Her family belongs to an ethnic minority and lives in a remote mountainous area in Ngọc Lặc district. Her husband works as a freelance laborer, while Mrs. Tiến engages in small-scale farming and livestock raising. Additionally, she works as a domestic helper for local families to supplement their income.
For over 10 years, Mrs. Tiến’s family has been cultivating acacia trees for timber sales. Recently, they harvested their acacia plantation, but now they lack the funds to purchase new seedlings for replanting. To address this need, Mrs. Tiến is seeking her second loan from Thanh Hóa MFI.
She is optimistic that, after five years, the harvested timber will not only improve her family’s income but also contribute to sustainable agriculture in the local community. Mrs. Tiến’s dedication exemplifies the resilience and hard work of many families in rural areas striving for a better future.
