Nga
A loan of $1,975 helps to purchase high-quality acacia seedlings for plantation.
Nga's story
Mrs. Nga is a 63-year-old widow. She has spent her life providing for her family despite the challenges of living in a remote area. As a member of an ethnic minority, she resides in a small house in Ngọc Lặc district, sharing her home with her son's family. Over the past 30 years, Mrs. Nga has relied on income from farming and raising poultry, which has been just enough to cover basic living expenses.
One of her most significant sources of income comes from the family’s acacia tree plantation. Every 5–6 years, the trees are harvested, providing sustainable profits while playing a vital role in preventing soil erosion and protecting the environment.
Having recently harvested the acacia plantation, Mrs. Nga is now seeking her seventh loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to purchase high-quality acacia seedlings. Her goal is to continue to improve her family’s income while maintaining the plantation’s long-term environmental benefits.
