Thảo's story

Mrs. Thảo, a 43-year-old woman, is married and has three children, all of whom are attending school. She and her family live in a rural area of Hoằng Hóa district, where her elderly in-laws also reside with them. Her husband works as a manual laborer, while she runs a small grocery store at their home. Despite their efforts, the family’s monthly income is approximately $235, which makes life difficult.

Recognizing the increased demand for goods during the year-end holidays, Mrs. Thảo plans to purchase additional inventory for her store. By stocking a greater variety of products and meeting the needs of her customers, she hopes to attract more buyers and remain competitive in the local market.

To implement her plan, Mrs. Thảo is seeking her fifth loan from Thanh Hóa Microfinance Institution (MFI). The loan will enable her to expand her inventory, improve her business, and ultimately increase her family’s income.
