Hiền
A loan of $1,575 helps to purchase high-quality acacia saplings to start a new plantation.
Hiền's story
Hiền, a 42-year-old woman, is married and the mother of three children. Her eldest child is grown while the other two are still attending school. Hiền's family belongs to an ethnic minority and resides in a remote mountainous area in Cẩm Thủy district.
Her husband works as a manual laborer, taking on physically demanding jobs as they come, while Hiền juggles multiple roles. She works as a garment worker at a local factory and also cultivates acacia trees for timber, which she sells to supplement her family's income.
Recently her acacia plantation was harvested, leaving her in need of additional funds to invest in replanting. Hiền plans to purchase high-quality acacia saplings to start a new plantation, which she hopes will yield better results in the long run. To achieve this, she is seeking her second loan from Thanh Hóa MFI.
Hiền is optimistic that, with proper care and nurturing, her new acacia plantation will be ready for harvest in five years. She envisions this not only as a means to improve her family's income but also as a contribution to sustainable agriculture in her community.
