Muong Phang 204 Group's story

Len, 22 years old, is a married Thai ethnic minority woman living in Dien Bien, a mountainous province in northwest Vietnam. In this place, agriculture plays a very important role in villagers’ lives. Len also makes a small contribution to the agriculture of her hometown by doing a variety of work such as rice farming, planting cassava and raising cows, chickens, ducks, pigs and fish.

She makes every effort to keep the farm productive as her income depends on it. She has quite good animal raising skills so her livestock always stays fat and healthy. Among the livestock she wants to invest in, pig breeding is the most, so she decides to take this loan to buy more piglets and food for pigs. She says pigs can be purchased at a higher price than the others. She hopes this investment will be profitable so that she can pay for her children's school fees and secure their future. She thanks all of Kiva’s lenders for the support and wishes them all the best. She stands first from the right in this photo.
