Protais

Protais is a 43-year-old man who resides at Muhanga town. He lives with his wife and children. He has been practicing agriculture for more than five years. He has been cultivating potatoes, beans, green vegetables, and cassava for the past two years.

He has preferred to make an effort in farming cassava plants very much because he was already getting more demand from the markets. Previously, he was supplying some of his harvest to the local market. This has helped him to take care of his family without expanding from one stage to another.

He is requesting 2,000,000 Rwandan francs [RWF] from Clecam Ejoheza Plc to expand his cassava farming business by buying seeds and pest and disease control products, and hiring workers and materials that are used in irrigation activities. By the time of harvest, he expects to sell a lot of cassava and get more money to cater for his family. He will use the rest as capital for the seasons that follow.
