Tuyến's story

Mrs. Tuyến, 50 years old, lives with her husband in the mountainous region of Cẩm Thủy District. They belong to an ethnic minority group and have lived in this rural area for many years. Their children have all grown up and started their own lives, and now Mrs. Tuyến and her husband focus on their work in agriculture and handicrafts.

For over 20 years, Mrs. Tuyến has cultivated corn, planted acacia trees, and raised chickens. Her husband, skilled in weaving bamboo and rattan, produces handicraft items and sells them to local stores. Together, their combined income is enough to support their family, but life remains modest.

This year, after successfully harvesting acacia wood, Mrs. Tuyến plans to replant more trees. In order to continue this cycle of sustainable farming, she has applied for a third loan from Thanh Hóa MFI. The loan will be used to purchase high-quality acacia saplings and fertilizers.

She expects that in about five years, the acacia trees will be ready for harvest, improving her family’s income and contributing to the region’s sustainable agricultural development.
