Na Tau 192 Group's story
Un is a Thai ethnic minority woman living with her husband and two children in a rural village in Dien Bien, the northwestern province of Vietnam.
Every day, Un works hard on the farm with many agricultural activities such as growing rice and raising some ducks and chickens to cover living expenses for her family. But the earnings from crops are not stable and easily suffer by nature.
For having a more stable income, Un decided to invest in her fish pond by buying more fish; however, the main problem she has is the lack of capital. She did not hesitate to get a loan from the Anh Chi Em program to invest in raising fish.
Un shares that, due to poverty in the past, she was not as lucky as her friends were, to complete her schooling, so the biggest dream in her life is for her children to be well educated and have chances for a better future.
But first of all, her wish is for the fish to multiply and that they can be sold at a high price, so she can easily support her children's essential needs for now. Therefore, she will use profit from this investment to cover tuition fees for her children.
In this photo, Un is standing on the right side. She is grateful for this support from Kiva lenders.
