Fatmata's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 59-year-old Fatmata from Lunsar Branch. She is a married businesswoman with five children between the ages of 15 and 38. Three are currently attending school. She started this business to improve her family.
Fatmata runs a retail business and sells bread to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 15 years. Fatmata says that her challenge is the increase in cost of goods and commodities in the country.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more bread items, such as flour, yeast, sugar, etc., to increase her business. Fatmata says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
