Talia
A loan of $925 helps to renovate the house they use for living.
Talia's story
Talia is a widow who take responsibility for looking after her seven kids. They all finished school and they already have their own families who live together with her under the same roof.
She has been running this weaving business for more then 20 years. This family relies on this weaving business because they already experienced the benefit from the weaving of their mother using her own hands.
She learned how to weave from her mother back in the day. She took advantage of that skill to start her own weaving business. Talia joined a group of women gathering in a hall in their village to conduct weaving. They can weave taovala, fihu and mats in different sizes and styles. They sell the weaving products through the internet to the local people and some buyers from overseas.
She earns a good income from her weaving business. She uses that income to cover her family's needs and wants financially plus her weekly repayment.
Because the house they live in is too small for them, she plans to renovate her house but does not have enough funds. This is why she applied for this loan to help her buy all the materials that she needs in order to renovate the house that they live in.
