Doris's story
Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 37 year old Doris from Moriba Branch. She is a married business woman with two children between the ages of 14 and 19 years old. They are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.
Doris runs a retail business and sells clothing to her customers around the communities. She has been in this business for the past 12 years. Doris says that her challenge is the increase in cost of goods and commodities in the country.
She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more inventory like clothes and shoes to increase her business. Doris says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her children.
In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and KIVA for their support.
