Malogoti 4 Club Group's story

Nyimike, aged 40, is a coffee farmer. He is married and has two children, who are all in school.

Nyimike enjoys coffee farming, since it is the reliable source of income for his family. Selling coffee is easy since they have off-taker who buys coffee from them after harvests. His dream is to become a reliable supplier to different companies. His business is challenged by lack of inputs, especially fertilizer, and pests and diseases, which affect crop production.

Farming nowadays is costly, since fertilizer prices are rising daily in the market. The only way farmers can be assisted is through access to fertilizer loans so that the farmers can produce good quality yields.

Nyimike joined the FIFAD program so that he can be assisted with input loans to get fertilizer. This will help him to produce more and increase productivity for him to make good sales.

The profits from the sales will help him to support his children in school and make sure the family has enough food throughout the year. In the picture, he is standing in the middle with a raised hand.
