Maria Fermina
A loan of $1,500 helps to buy fertlizers, seeds, organic soil amendments and compost.
Maria Fermina's story
Fermina is a 55-year-old woman. She is married and has three children who are still studying. They live together in the community of Sablog Gampala, in a small, humble, cement home with a corrugated sheet roof.
Her husband works as a longshoreman, whilst she works in farming and cattle rearing. She has been doing this work for approximately 30 years. Her bean and potato crops have helped her to excel financially, giving her an income to give her children an education.
Fermina wishes to continue expanding her crops which is why she is applying for a loan to buy fertlizers, seeds, organic soil amendments and compost. With this, she hopes to have good quality and greater crop production. This is so that she can get an excellent price at market, allowing her to change her living conditions.
