Silila
A loan of $475 helps to buy mulberry and pandanus for her tapa making and weaving business.
Silila's story
Silila is married to a farmer and has two daughters. For more than two decades, she has run a weaving and tapa-making business to make sure that her children and family are well provided. She joined a group of women in the village to make tapas, as well as spending time of her own on her weaving. When Silila has many taovala and mats on order, she pays some women to help with her weavings. Most of her tapas and weavings are sold to local and overseas customers. With this loan, Silila will buy pandanus and mulberry to empower her businesses.
