Seini's story
Seini is a single mother of two kids who makes a living for her family by making kiekie. Seini and her kids live in the same house. Crafts is the only source of income for her family.
One day a week she joins a group of women in her village to make tapa and handicrafts. They makes tapa in different sizes and styles. They make more than six tapa a day, and they decorate them with their own style. She spends three days a week by herself making kiekie in different styles and sizes. Once the tapa or kiekie is ready to sell they advertise it through the internet to the local people and sometimes she prefers to export her tapa and kiekie overseas.
Sometime people can hire her to design their own tapa and this is extra income for her family. Even though she is a single mother, she can fulfill both mother and father's responsibility toward her family member. Her business is ongoing but her funds are not enough to buy more mulberry and material for her kiekie and for her tapa business. This is why she applied for this loan to help her buy more mulberry and material that she uses for her business.
