A loan of $850 helps to buy more oil, dried pepper, fish, candy, vita, chicken feet, pig feet and other goods to sell.
Gayduo's story
Meet 40-year-old Gayduo, from Liberia. She is living together with her partner along with three children, two of whom are still in school. Gayduo is a hardworking individual who specializes in selling a variety of essential items, including vegetable oil, dried pepper, fish, candy, vita, chicken feet, pig feet and other goods. For the past three years, she has successfully operated her business. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site and works six days a week to ensure that her customers have access to the items they need.
She requested a loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner, to invest in her business by purchasing more oil, dried pepper, fish, candy, vita, chicken feet, pig feet and other goods to sell and increase her profits. Gayduo enjoys her work because the sales are profitable, allowing her to support her family and meet their needs. Her dream for the future is to own her own shop, a place where she can expand her business and offer even more products to her customers.
Gayduo is deeply grateful for the support she has received and would like to express her heartfelt thanks to BRAC and the Kiva community for their help in making her business goals a reality.
