Afsana And Group
A loan of $3,600 helps a member to purchase seeds, fertilizers, pesticides etc. for paddy, jute and sarsa cultivation.
Afsana And Group's story
Afsana is a 31-year-old married woman. She lives with her family in the Jalpaiguri district of West Bengal. She has a household of five members.
Afsana and her husband work in agricultural fields and take care of land cultivation. Together they make a monthly income of INR 25,000. This is not enough for them to sustain their family of five. Thus they want to expand the paddy, jute, and sarsa (an herb also known as sarsaparilla) cultivation, for which they will need to purchase more seeds and fertilizer from the local market.
Afsana is joined by her friends in applying for a loan of INR 302,000 from Milaap's field partner WeGrow. All of them are engaged in agribusiness and seek funding to invest in the expansion of their respective agribusinesses. They and their family will be thankful for all the support.
