The Communal Bank “801 24 de Enero” is part of the El Carmen agency. This group consists of nine members who are friends and neighbors from the same area. It is led by a Board of Directors in which Sra. Jhoenia is the president.
Jhoenia is 21 years old, single, and has no children. She currently has a business selling cakes from her home. The loan she is receiving now will increase her capital so that she can buy an oven, a tank of propane, and other supplies from the vendors at the markets in the city of Trinidad. Afterward, she will use these items for her business. By working in this manner, she is able to support her family financially. Her aspirations are to continue growing her business and have a furnished home.
