She is very happy and motivated because six months ago she started a second business raising pigs, sheep, and chickens that she sells at the market and from home. Marcelina wants to expand her farm by integrating more animals to improve the productivity of her business. With complete confidence she approaches Kiva's lenders to request her tenth loan. With the capital Marcelina will buy cows, pigs, and chickens.

Marcelina is one of the eight K'iche Mayan women who form the Puente de Amistad Community Bank “Cruzche III”, and are from the department/state of Quiché.
