Samar

Samar, a Jordanian woman in her early thirties and a mother of two, is married to a retired man, and the family is now living on his pension. However, as life becomes increasingly difficult and they are burdened with financial responsibilities, she started a home-based clothing business to alleviate some of these burdens and achieve her family's comfort.

Samar asked for a loan of 500 JOD to buy shelves, hangers and clothes for her business. Overcoming her husband's views against women working, and challenging her fears and worries, she has succeeded in pursuing her goals.
