Fazira
A loan of $700 helps to purchase clothes for resale.
Fazira's story
Fazira is 19 years old and lives in the town of Mityana in the Mityana region of Uganda. She is married and has one child. For the past 6 years, Fazira has been working hard to manage her boutique, which sells all kinds of adult clothes, like shirts and dresses.
To help expand her business, Fazira has requested a loan of 2,500,000 Ugandan shillings from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to purchase clothes for resale and will help Fazira to generate greater profits and manage to buy basic needs for her family.
Fazira hopes that in the future she will be able to build rentals for business. She is a member of BRAC's microfinance program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members, like Fazira, who do not have collateral for commercial loans but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for microloans.
