A loan of $3,600 helps a member to stock up on corn flour, oil and beans, which will strengthen her initial capital.
Tchongo Sg Group's story
Ms. Kibwirwa, 51, is a client of the microfinance institute Hekima, and leads the village group “Tchongo SG”. She is married and a mother of 5 children, all of whom are in school. Her partner is a farmer.
Kibwirwa sells food. She started this business 5 years ago with start-up funds received from her husband. Later, she was involved with the Hekima program to support her business, during which time, the business gradually evolved.
With this new loan, Kibwirwa will stock up on corn flour, beans and oil, which will strengthen her initial capital. The challenge of this activity is the lack of customers.
Kibwirwa would like her children to continue studying, and to feed her family. Finally, she would like to thank Hekima and its partners for the support provided to non-bankable business owners.
