Angy

Angy's story

Angy is a young animal breeder from El Cairo, Valle del Cauca, with 13 years of experience. Angy lives with her husband and two children in a house they bought several years ago. Her husband is a farmer, and they share household expenses.

She owns a half-hectare plot where she has built a shed for raising over 30 broiler chickens, which she feeds with a diet rich in corn, rice, and vitamin supplements to ensure optimal growth. When her chickens reach the required weight, she processes them and sells her production within her community, although using a bicycle limits her mobility.

A loan of $5,463,722 COP enables Angy to buy a motorcycle, which will improve her mobility and make it easier to distribute her production, increasing her sales and earnings.
