Annet's story
Annet is 39 years old and lives in the town of Mityana in the Mityana region of Uganda. She is married and has 3 children who are all currently in school.
For the past 7 years, Annet has been working hard to manage her Bar business, which sells liquor. To help expand her business, Annet has requested a loan of 3,500,000 UGX from BRAC Uganda. The loan will be used to buy more liquor and soft drinks for sale, and will help Annet to generate greater profits and invest more in her business and buy food for her family.
Annet hopes that in the future she will be able to build more rentals for business.She is a member of BRAC's Microfinance Program (MF). The program primarily serves small group members, like Annet , who do not have collateral for commercial loans, but do have businesses that have grown and qualify for micro-loans.
