Jenia's story

Jenia resides in the province of Southern Leyte. She is 30 years old and has two dependents.

She makes a living by selling dry goods like RTW (ready-to-wear). She has been in this livelihood for five years.

Now, she asks for a loan through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO in the Philippines.) She will use this loan for additional capital to buy goods to sell, such as shorts, sleeves, shirts, and other apparel.

Jenia dreams of expanding this business in the future and becoming productive.
