Dolores Del Transito
A loan of $1,000 helps to purchase corn on the cob, corn, vegetables, free-range chickens, and other raw materials to make and sell tamales.
Dolores Del Transito's story
Dolores is a single mother and lives with her three children, who are 13, 11 and 9 years old. They are all her dependents. She does not receive financial help from abroad.
Dolores sells chicken and corn tamales. She learned this trade thanks to her mother and undertook her own business 19 years ago. Her children help with the business when they have free time. She serves the public from Monday to Saturday with a schedule of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
She is asking for a loan because, in this way, she will be able to stock her inventory. She will invest in the purchase of corn on the cob, corn, vegetables, free-range chickens, and other raw materials to make and sell tamales. Dolores explained that, by purchasing wholesale, she will save on the cost of purchasing, and with this will get more earnings. The investment does not represent risks because she has a lot of experience in the business.
She aspires to grow her business and have financial stability to share a more dignified lifestyle with her family and to provide her children with an education so that they become professionals.
