Edna's story
Edna resides in the province of Davao Del Sur. She is 56 years old and has one dependent. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for 10 years.
Now, she asks for a loan of PHP 36,000 through Kiva’s Lending Partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO), in the Philippines. She will use this loan to gain additional capital to buy grocery items to sell in her store. Edna dreams of improving her business in the future for a better means of living.
