Aileen Mae
A loan of $450 helps to buy banana, tempura (seafood and vegetables coated in a thin batter and deep fried) and edible oil.
Aileen Mae's story
Aileen Mae has been a food vendor for three years. She sells banana turon, a Philippine snack made of thinly sliced bananas (preferably saba bananas), rolled in a spring roll wrapper, fried till the wrapper is crisp. She also sells tempura (seafood and vegetables coated in a thin batter and usually fried, skewered and dipped in sweet and hot sauce).
She is a mother of three children, ages 7,9 and 11. Her partner in life works as a plumber.
She dreams of continuing to expand her current source of income. She has decided to avail a loan. She will use it to buy bananas, tempura (seafood and vegetables coated in a thin batter and deep fried) and edible oil.
Aileen Mae will then be able to continue her business with the goal of increasing her profits to support the schooling of her children for a brighter future.
