Carine
A loan of $875 helps to purchase ingredients like pork, onions, garlic, and chili pepper.
Carine's story
Carine has engaged in food vending for eleven years. She is a mother of three children, ages 9, 11, and 16. Her spouse works as a vendor.
Carine sells "bopis" (a Filipino dish made from minced pig's lungs and heart). It has a spicy, tangy flavor and is often served as a main dish and is served as a “pulutan,” an appetizer.
At this time, Carine has decided to avail a loan. She will use it to purchase ingredients like pork, onions, garlic, and chili pepper.
Carine hopes to improve her business so that it will generate more income to sustain the needs of the family and for the schooling of her children. Any additional income will be used for reinvestment in the same business and for savings.
