A loan of $5,275 helps a member to buy livestock to resell.
Keur Lat Mbissine Group's story
This group, created in June 2011, comprises strong, hard-working women primarily active in the livestock business. Khady, a widow, standing on the far right in the photo with her hand raised, is the main borrower. She is 59 years old with 6 children, and has 4 additional children in her care.
She has been involved in livestock fattening for many years, and has a lot of experience in this field. With this new loan, she will attend the weekly markets where she'll buy goats and sheep to resell in her locality, after having fattened them. With the profits, she hopes to build another room in her house, as well as buy food for the family.
In this group: Sokhna, Khady, Anta, Dieynaba, Mbayang, Nar, Ndiack, Fatou , Khady
